Hello lovely humans,
I'm Joy. Creative Producer, Director and DOP based in Byron Bay - with 10 years of experience making content that inspires and connects.
I've worked across a lot of different worlds: fashion campaigns and TVCs with brands like Crocs, McDonald's and Microsoft; on-set with talent like Natalie Dormer; producing 40+ short-form films for the BBC and Oxford University; and everything in between - brand films, documentaries, lifestyle shoots, social content. I picked up a Webby Award along the way for Best Science Education Video, which still feels a bit surreal.
What ties it all together is storytelling. I'm genuinely obsessed with finding the thing that makes a brand or a person interesting - and then figuring out the best way to put the magic on screen.
I'm strategic enough to think about the bigger picture, organised enough to make it happen, and collaborative enough to make the process enjoyable for everyone involved. I've led teams, managed international productions, and worked with everyone from first-time founders to major broadcasters.
